Elm & Ivy was founded on a simple frustration: cleaning companies that promise the world, send a different crew every visit, and leave the definition of “clean” conveniently vague. We built the opposite: a published checklist, consistent teams, fixed quotes, and a guarantee we actually honour.
Who we are
We are a residential cleaning company serving New Haven County and the Connecticut shoreline, and only that. No commercial contracts, no post-construction clean-up, no chasing whatever pays this month. Doing one thing means our teams get very good at it: knowing which product belongs on sealed stone and which one ruins unlacquered brass, spotting the corner that everyone else misses because it is behind a door.
Recognising that every home is different, we build a plan with you rather than handing you a package. Some houses need weekly attention in three rooms and monthly in the rest. Some need a heavy summer schedule and a light winter one. We would rather quote what your home actually needs than sell you the largest thing you might agree to.

Every cleaner is background-checked, insured, and trained in-house on our checklist before their first solo visit. We do not use day-labour or subcontracted crews.
